Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with book publisher.

The author

Best-selling young adult author and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.

A spokesman for the company said: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the decision was taken subsequent to an investigation into reports of questionable actions towards female individuals.

The firm has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "We do not comment on internal matters."

An Illustrious Literary Career

Walliams is one of the UK's most successful children's authors, boasting over more than 60 million copies internationally in 55 languages.

The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.

A number of his titles, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into television films.

His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works combined, encompassing a holiday title called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins in October.

From Screen to Page

He first rose to fame on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was awarded an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.

This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss last fall.
